Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux Opens 21st Restaurant in Home State of Louisiana

ATLANTA, Ga. (July 29, 2025) –Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux today announces the opening of its 21st restaurant in Louisiana—fittingly in the Baton Rouge area where the family-friendly sports bar was founded 22 years ago. Shane Morrison of WON Hospitality is a long-time franchisee of the brand, and this opening marks his 11th restaurant.

“When Brandon Landry opened the first Walk-On’s 22 years ago, growth and expansion was always an exciting possibility. Today, with nearly 100 restaurants, coming back to where it all started makes this opening incredibly exciting,” said Walk-On’s CEO Chris Porcelli. “The Baton Rouge community has always supported Walk-On’s, and we look forward to serving even more guests in Central.”

The new restaurant officially opened its doors on Monday, July 28, and as part of the grand opening celebration, the Walk-On's team presented a gift of $2,000 to both Central High School and Central Private High School.

Walk-On’s is ranked ESPN’s #1 Sports Bar in America and prides itself on not using the typical freezer-to-fryer model of other restaurant chains. Instead, bar favorites are hand-prepped with strong Cajun and Southern flavor influences. Signature dishes include Pepperjack Boudin, Fried Alligator Bites, Crawfish Étouffée, the Hickory Burger, and the Ragin’ Redfish. 

Walk-On’s is now open at 14365 Grand Settlement Blvd.
